No More IITs Petition - Comments 300-400

309.Nitin Garg-India
I agree to this 'plea to preserve the IIT Brand and Build Complementary Brands to Serve India' as the step the government will take is going to be of extreme importance for the reputation and uniqueness that the IITians are proud to have.

I do not have any intentions to deny the pre education and reputation to as many Indians as possible. As then, the proposal of the name 'HIT' is really appreciable and I hope that no one should find any problem in accepting this solution

319.Sujata Verma-India
we do need more centres of excellence in the country n it can be achieved without endangering the brand name that is the IIT.

329.Indrajit Mal-India
This is definitely a good piece of thinking. We should make this even larger.

331.Rachit Nagalia-India
If IITs lose their exclusivity...we will be left with only 2nd tier colleges.

334.Narasimhan- India
IIT can't be replicated! Just leave brand IIT alone... Pls...

337.vipin gupta(IIT Kgp 2004)-India
Outstanding institutes cant be created just by naming them - IIT but requires thorough commitment.Once that happens more then just IITs shall be proof of India's excellence

341.Prakash Khemani-India
Please don't dilute the brand IIT created after tremendous efforts.

345.Sanat Agrawal-South Africa
New brand institutions will provide healthy competition to IITs. If they do not perform at par, it will dilute the IIT brand. The govt. should focus on cutting edge research as well in these new institutions.

347.Siddhant Raizada-India
naming Mumbai as New York, wont make it the Financial capital of the world. Create new brands, why dilute the existing ones. Hon PM you are a patron of free markets, please apply the same principles to education. IIT is the only things western world respects about India. Dont destroy this hard earned prestige of our nation.

358.amit raj-india
points made in this plea are very genuine and i think every IITIAN will be in favour of it

361.Arnab-Indian
It Will Only Serve To Break The Strongest Bond Most Alumni Have With This Country

366.Vishal Merani (B.Tech, IITD 2005)-Germany
The HIT proposal is a much better one !!!!! Please don't doom IIT brand name !!

368.Abhishek Ghosh-India
As an IITian, I personally believe that instead of diluting the brand and hence resources available, the GOI should concentrate on other institutions like AIIMS We need more doctors.

371.Mallik Manem-USA
Why has the number of MITs or Stanfords not increased over time?

381.Aditya Singh-India
If you want the institutes to improve, dont rename them. Instead show them the path through which they can excel and reach the level of the existing IITs. If they are smart enough to tread the right direction through their dedication and tenacity they can indeed be better than IITs one day.

382.Govind Prashad Kedia-India
IIT brand has helped us to create a very good image of India in the developed world and a dilutaltion may effect this image

383.Neeraj Sharma-India
you cannot get the scent of rose from any flower just by calling it rose
